The gates open at three and close when the last person leaves… which history suggests could be quite late.
If you’re travelling, come early. The afternoon is long and unhurried and there’s tea and nibbles to keep you going until the catering around six. If you’re local, roll up whenever — there is no wrong time to arrive.
Not quite a festival. Not quite a garden party. Somewhere in the middle (of nowhere).
For nearly 20 years many of us made our way to the Secret Garden Party, which used to be hosted just up the road. This is not that. But it carries just a little of that same spirit — an unhurried afternoon, music drifting across a field, the sense that the day could go anywhere. Come ready for fun with friends.
Our good friends Evie Mitcheson, Steve Brown and Neil Kohler will all be playing music from late afternoon into the evening. Glynn…if you bring you guitar there's a slot with you name on it.
Tea and nibbles from 3pm. Meat and vegetarian paellas with salads and desserts arriving around 6pm.
The Electric Bar and the Net Zero Bar. Beer, wine and soft drinks from 3pm. Cocktails and mocktails from 5pm til they run out. Bring your own favourite drinks to supplement the bar — we’ll provide the ice.
Festival finery warmly welcome, or just whatever you feel at home in (maybe not pyjamas).
Wennington is a tiny village just north of Huntingdon.
